Welcome to the Medina Youth Baseball Association

Each year, over 1600 kids ranging in age and skill level learn, excel and compete in one of the great American pastimes, baseball. Medina has a rich tradition of baseball history and this year is no different.

Above any play, is the integrity of our coaches, players, and most of all, the game. The game is for the kids! MYBA has a variety of leagues to accompany the skill level for each child. However, no matter how advanced your child may be, it is important to remember that at these ages, they are learning and developing.

Medina Youth Baseball

Medina Youth Baseball (Rec Ball) is for players from age five through eighteen. Medina Youth Baseball is an instructional league that covers the basic fundamentals of baseball. Each age division will expand on its skill levels. There are no try-outs for Rec Ball players and all leagues use fields in Medina, except for the Seniors 15-18, which play their games in Wadsworth, as part of the Wadsworth Baseball League.

——

Medina Hot Stove Baseball

Medina’s Hot Stove division is also a travel team division. No try-outs are held to determine this year’s Hot Stove players. Hot Stove teams participate in the Lorain County Hot Stove Charter. Players should be ready to play the game of baseball at a higher level than rec ball requires, as well as be ready for a higher level of commitment of time for practices and games. Hot Stove is for players ages 8 – 16.
