President's Message
I hope you all enjoyed last years baseball season and we look forward to seeing you out at the diamonds in 2010.
Registration opened November 01, 2009 for the 2010 Baseball season. This time of year we field a lot of questions about what our Baseball League offers. Here is the breakdown. We offer a full uniform, for all of our recreation teams, from 4 years old to 18 years old. These uniforms consist of Baseball Pants, Numbered Uniform Shirt, Major or Minor League Replica Hat and socks. We also provide belted pants and belts for our 13 and above leagues. Our recreation leagues play an average of two games a week during the weeknights. We try and keep weekends free for your own family time. Rainouts will be scheduled on the weekends. MYBA tries to make up all games that are canceled due to lack of players or rain. We offer participation trophies to all children 10 and under. We have champion and runner-up trophies for 9-18. We have trained umpires for all leagues 9 and above. I hope this has answered any questions that you might have about Medina Youth Baseball. As always you can contact us at myba@zoominternet.net or our hotline at 330-725-6488. Bill Scott will be taking over as the new President of Medina Youth Baseball in Mid November. Bill has served on the board of MYBA as secretary for the last year and has served as head of adult umpires for several years.Registration can be done online, by mail or in person on Sat. Feb. 13th and Sat. Feb. 27 @ Rustic Hills Country Club from 10am to 2pm.In addition, if you have specific questions regarding any league, contact specific Trustees listed under MYBA Board Management. Get your child/adolescent involved in organized baseball as Medina celebrates its 60th Anniversary of this great sport. The Board of Trustees has adopted, in conjunction with Medina High Baseball staff, a system whereby recommendations of potential/future players will be noted each season beginning with 6th grade. Whether it is Rec./Hot Stove/Sting players, this is being undertaken in order to produce the finest ongoing
baseball program at Medina High School and in the State of Ohio.Be a part of this attainable goal by becoming a Coach or a volunteer in another capacity!!!!!!!
Attention Sponsors MYBA would like to thank all of our sponsors and players, volunteers, coaches, and parents in helping us have another fantastic season of youth baseball in Medina!
