 Medina Youth Baseball's HOT STOVE division is for children that may have a higher degree of talent. Hot Stove is for children 8 years of age through 17 years of age.
Although you do not have to try out for any of the teams, the commitment for Hot Stove is also higher than MYBA's rec ball. There is traveling involved to many different cities and a different degree of fundraising is required for all that participate. The Hot Stove division really is not intended as an instructional division. All players should already have the ability to play all positions and have the knowledge of baseball.
Hot Stove also follows all of the Hot Stove rules set forth by the Ohio Hot Stove Association. Medina is a part of the Lorain County Hot Stove Association.
If you feel that your child still has more talent than what Hot Stove can provide, feel free to check out the Medina Sting. Medina Sting is a separate organization and has try outs for all players interested in playing the highest level of Baseball.
